Bullet-riddled body of Shahfi Baloch found

QUETTA: Another mutilated body of junior leader of the Baloch students Organization (BSO-Azad) was found near Match town, some 60-kilometer in southeast of Quetta, on Thursday. The Junior Joint Secretary of Baloch Student Organization (BSO-Azad) Shafi Baloch was whisked away on Saturday last near Lak Pass area by a group of armed men. The organization accused security forces and secret agencies of kidnapping and killing. Levies personnel after being informed about the body rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Quetta for postpartum. The body bore bullet wounds and multiple marks of torture, hospital sources said. Later body was handed over to his heirs for burial. Shafi Baloch was traveling in a passenger van from Quetta to Mastung when armed men off-loaded him near Dasht area close to Mastung town. Since then his whereabouts was unknown According to BSO-Azad spokesperson, the kidnappers were in three vehicles used in government functionaries when they intercepted the passenger van near Lak Pass. According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, over 160 dead bodies of Baloch missing persons were recovered during the past ten months and all the victims had sort of affiliation with Baloch nationalist parties or students organizations. The Baloch nationalists blame government functionaries for these killings. However, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani in his visit to Quetta rejected the allegations leveled against government functionaries and said if any one has evidences then they must produce them so that a action would be taken.
