Hyrbyair Marri urges UN to intervene in Balochistan on humanitarian basis

London: Patriot Baloch leader Hyrbyair Marri has urged the UN to intervene in Balochistan on Humanitarian basis to stop genocide of Baloch people being carried out by Pakistan’s Punjabi dominated military. He said that discovery of mutilated bodies of Baloch Missing Persons, on daily basis, killed under custody by Pakistan military is absurdity of the occupying forces.

He said, “Not only, the International community must intervene in Balochistan but they also should take strict notice of illegal and inhuman actions of the occupying Pakistani state.” Warning the International Community about Pakistan’s cunningness and opportunism he said “Pakistan is a snake in the grass” it will sting the very hand that feeds it.

Drawing the attention of UN, EU and other civilized Nations toward the plight of Baloch people Mr Marri said that if one analyses the history of Baloch struggle he [they] will find that Baloch have always adopted civilized and humane ways of struggle for their National survival and for defense of their motherland (Balochistan). “Pakistan has imposed a war on Baloch for the past 64 year but from past one decade it has intensified the war against Baloch people, unexpectedly, by brutally violating all International norms and laws of war. The instances of Pakistan’s brutality cannot be found anywhere in the world”.

He further said that The state [Pakistan] which has been defeated by Baloch Sarmachaar (Freedom Fighters) , is now killing people form every sphere of life and ideologies including political workers, young students, children, women, elderly, poets and teachers, journalists, tribal leaders, farmers and other pro-freedom unarmed civilians. Pakistani security forces abduct people in broad daylight, keep them under custody, subject them to brutal and inhuman torture, and eventually kill and dump them in desolated places where their corpses will be eaten by wild animals; these acts illustrate the savagery and barbarism of Pakistan. The incompetence of Pakistani security forces can also be gauged by the fact that they do not have the decency to accept the responsibility of killing and dumping Baloch political activists; these cowards are always in a state of denial.

He said Baloch are well-aware of the fact that in the struggle for liberation one cannot beg for mercy from the enemy; hence they are facing all the difficulties with great courage while defending the motherland; they’re sacrificing their precious lives for the bright future of Baloch Nation and their coming generations. The situations in Balochistan have reached to a point where Baloch are left with no option but to adopt unconventional measures against their uncivilized and immoral enemy.

History of Baloch liberation struggle has recorded countless stories of Baloch code of honor and respect; in the past Baloch have seized hundreds of armed Pakistan soldiers in Kohistan Marri and other regions of Balochistan. They (Baloch) treated the captives in a civilized manner as prisoners of war according to International laws; instead of harming and humiliating them the Baloch fighters let them go on humanitarian basis. He said, however, the examples of Pakistan’s brutality cannot be found anywhere else in the world. They’re abducting, torturing and killing our people for merely being Baloch and for raising their voice for justice and freedom which is their birth right – no one should be deprived of their liberty by the oppressors at gunpoint.

He reiterated that the resistance against occupation and the struggle for liberation will continue until the withdrawal of occupying forces from Baloch land.

Hyrbyair Marri while expressing his grief over the discovery the bullet-ridden bodies of Balochs in Karachi said that PPP was using the Baloch population of Karachi as its vote bank. The land Mafia and Drug Mafia groups of [PPP and MQM] are using different pretexts to kill innocent Baloch in Karachi. Had these Baloch died for the liberation of Baloch land they would have gained more respect among Baloch masses. “It is high time that Balochs of Karachi stick together and abandon the slavery of PPP; they should become part of Baloch Liberation struggle to fulfill their National responsibilities”, concluded Mr. Marri.
